2008 FMBC SEMINAR

REGISTRATION & INFORMATION

Use the link above to pre-regster for the annual FMBC Seminar. This year the seminar will be held in Apopka, just north of Orlando Florida on Saturday, July 12th. FMBC will provide information for directors, judges, and other individuals that are interested in participating in, hosting, scoring, and/or adjudicating FMBC events.

FMBC's annual training sessions are designed for Band Directors, present and future judges, show tabulators, and other adult staff. Training is provided in the use of FMBC's unique Recap software, and there are break-out sessions for directors and judges. There is no charge for participation. The FMBC 2008 seminar will run from 9:30 AM until 4 PM, and lunch is provided

On-line Registration is available now. You can register on line, or download a mail-in form.

ATTEND AN FMBC REGIONAL EVENT

Our new format includes a special page listing all FMBC Regional Events. Click on the links for each event, and a drop-down window will appear giving specific details about each event, and in many cases there will be an event-specific application you can dowload and send to the show host. No need to go through that huge pile of papers in your office to find the application forms - just come to the FMBC Website.

FMBC 2008 PRELIMS SITES ANNOUNCED

FMBC extends sincere thanks and appreciation to the many schools that submitted applications to become a host site for the FMBC 2008 State Semi-Finals. After reviewing the applications and checking out the most promising sites, the FMBC Board of Directors has chosen Lakewood Ranch and Braden River as the two primary remote sites for Prelims (along with the Tropicana Dome, of course). The size class assignments for these sites will be determined based on the bands that qualify for this event, to try and achieve a balanced performance level at each site. FMBC reserves the right to add a third prelims site if needed.

ANNOUNCING DCI-FMBC STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP

FMBC proudly announces a new strategic partnership with DCI for the 2008 Season. Because of this, FMBC can offer an even greater discount to those bands attending DCI Orlando. Certainly Florida Band Directors know how to contact DCI for group student discount tickets. However, by submitting a special code, there will be an additional FMBC Member discount available to Florida Marching Bands.

As a bonus, Florida Band groups of twenty-five or more can receive two complimentary Director tickets to the Press Box for a special FMBC Reception and priority seating.
